There is so much going on within Warrington at the moment that it can be hard to keep up. We will touch on a few of the developments within this blog however if you are interested in all of the changes and want to know more, the town centre master plan is an ever evolving document that shows all of the plans for the future of the town. We have located our easylet Warrington office at the heart of the development as we grow into one of the leading letting agents in Warrington.
Our office is a short walk away from the new Time Square development which is one of the main projects taking place within the town. Alone the Time Square development is looking to bring a 13-screen multiplex Cineworld, over 400 jobs, a vibrant square with new restaurants and leisure facilities and much more. The £142 million development will attract families, young professionals and a great atmosphere to the town centre making Time Square a place to be. Find out more about the development here.
Alongside Time Square, the Cultural Quarter has advanced quickly over the past few years, with lots of new enjoyable restaurants, bars and places to live. One of our own favourite restaurants is San Lorenzo.
Another exciting development is the new Stadium Quarter project which is on the edge of the town centre close by to the Halliwell Jones stadium. Work has already started here, represented by The Base which was built in 2016. The Base was the start of the development of the Stadium Quarter providing high-quality office accommodation.
Exciting plans are in place for a Youth Zone, additional office accommodation and we expect that in time there could be opportunities for residential units to go alongside the flats that are being developed already next to Warrington Central Station. If you haven’t visited the town centre in the past months, you will be eager to see all of the changes and will recognise the developments happening already. Due to all of the developments happening we have had some landlord’s asking if they have missed an opportunity already, however we see lots of new prospects hitting the market every week and have tenants lined up ready to take properties as there are many more exciting developments to come.
To go alongside the developments that are led predominantly by the council, there has been lots of private investment in local leisure facilities and accommodation.
